The Number 19 in the Koran

The number 19 occurs only once in the Koran — Koran 74:30. However, this number appears in other ways. For example, there are 114 Surahs in the Koran. 114 is 19 x 6. The phrase, “companions of fire,” occurs 19 times in the Koran before Koran 74:30. The number appears in other ways as the following videos will show.

I have my own theory about the significance of the number 19. 19 is the sum of 16 and 3. 3 represents the Three Persons of the Holy Trinity. 16 is the product of 2 multiplied by 8. 8 represents eternity or immortality. Jesus arose from the dead on the first day of the week or the eighth day. There are seven days in a week. The eighth day is the day beyond time, the eternal day, the day without a sunset. 2 represents the two natures of Christ — His divine nature and His human nature. The number 2 is multiplied by the number 8 in order to get the number 16 because both of His natures, human and divine, are immortal now. His divine nature has always been immortal. His human nature became immortal, when He destroyed death by His death and arose from the dead on the first day of the week or the eighth day. These two numbers, 16 and 3, represent the two cardinal doctrines of the Orthodox Christian faith — the two immortal natures of Christ and the Holy Trinity.

Christ is risen!
